Beaches
The Town of Sunapee manages Dewey Beach on Lake Sunapee (from Oak Ridge Road turn left on to Springfield Road and right on to Rte 11; drive approximately 3 miles south then left on to Jobs Creek Road and immediately right on to Dewey Beach Road). During the season the beach is in operation from 9.00am to 6.00pm, seven days per week. A variety of programs are offered at Dewey Beach and may include swimming, snorkeling and sailing lessons, kayaking, volley ball, and arts and crafts. Entry to Dewey Beach is free with a permit in the form of a tag to be hung on the rear view mirror of your car. A visitor tag is available for our guests in the cottage.
Sunapee State Beach (entrance at the Sunapee traffic circle at the junction of Rte 103B and Rte 103; daily admission charge) offers a large beach with roped off swimming area, a store, canoe & kayak rentals, a playground, and a new bathhouse.
